Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series.”

After some hours of official statement, the Iron Fist star Finn Jones reacts to the cancellation of Luke Cage on Instagram by posting an image of him and Luke Cage fist, captioning the photo with a heart and hands representing each Defenders heroes. This was totally unexpected for the Luke Cage as both of its seasons highly praised by critics and as well as by audiences but what’s done is done, let’s see what could be Netflix and Disney’s Marvel web series future.

However, according to the THR Source, the show has creative differences between the writers and the producers as in September, the writers room was suspended with rumours of trimming the numbers of episodes to 10. Well, so far there has been no comments from the Luke Cage star Mike Colter and the show runner Cheo Hodari Cokar.
